Right now I'm sitting in the living room of my counsellor and I'm eating BBQ.
The flights had all gone well although they were teribbly long... I slept about 4 hours in the last 2 days which results in complete lazyness.I've heard my first Kookaburra laugh this afternoon and seen a Pelican take of at the beach. Tomorrow I will get shown around place and then I'll post some pictures.
I think that's all for now but I'm sure I'll write again soon.

Aussie Slang Dictionnary
australians LOVE to shorten words and then just put an "o" at the end.
G'day - common greeting
Mate - friend, or also "my friend"
heaps - a lot
barby - barbeque, barbecue
cya - see you (later)
it's my shout - it's my turn to pay (usually a drink)
servo - service station (petrol station)
davo - yep, that's what they call me
arvo - afternoon
breakky/brekky - breakfast
ankle biter - small child
banana bender - person from queensland
road kill - dead animal at the side of the road
it's cactus - it's dead
to chuck a sickie - not go to work when healthy
cupper - a cup of tea or coffe
to wag - skip classes
good onya - good for you!
greenie - environmentalist
maccas - mc donald's
put another shrimp on the barbie - put some more meat on the bbq
snags - sausages
stubby holder - foamy thingy that you put around your drink to keep it cold
to have tea - to have dinner
good onya - well done (very common)
to have a few roos loose in the top paddock - like saying in german to not have all the cups in the cupboard....(i like this one.different but the same isnt it?)
apple island - tasmania(generally made fun of, just like the kiwis from nz)
dead horse - tomato sauce
to go troppo - to go crazy/insane
tyre - tire
